We recommend that users avoid direct contact with dental implants, metal restorations, crowns, bridges, or bonded veneers, as ultrasonic vibrations — while safe on enamel — may cause unintended impact on artificial surfaces or adhesive margins. If you have dental restorations, consult your dentist before using Pearl Glide directly near these areas.
The tool is not meant to remove deep calculus or tartar beneath the gumline, which requires professional scaling under clinical supervision. Attempting to reach subgingival areas at home may result in injury.
